    ESET detection is not cloud-dependant.

Detection in Some components of kaspersky depends on cloud reputation, the quality of the detection is dependent from the cloud feature.

If they are Cloud Base, what would u call PCAV and WSAo_O
You should say they are partially Cloud Base!!
They still are Solid AV without Cloud!!!

In that case the OP must clarify if he is looking for only non-cloud AVs or is okay with partial cloud AVs. Because nowadays one can hardly find any AV with no link to the cloud in some extent.

It's a Cloud Based AV. But also provides some offline protection.

I was just at the Emsisoft site and talking about comprehensive software. A truly one stop package. Now you tell me about it.
Yesterday I purchased WSA and this morning MBAM.
I also got a hold of Comodo firewall and SpyShelter.
All four are running 100% on my computer, NO slowdowns at all.
Sometimes I check to see if they are really running cause my system is wizzing away better then ever.

Actually TaranScorp is looking for a Signature Base AV. Not totally relying on Cloud(If i am not mistaking)

    That's what i recommend!! +1:thumb:

Cut it out with the Emsisoft stuff, told me after I already spent $56 for software :)
I kinda am growing on WSA after realizing what it is accomplishing while I'm browsing on the web, feel safer ordering and banking online now.
With the help of SpyShelter and MBAM and Comodo firewall.
Wouldn't a cloud based and a signature based AV get along?

You guys are really a bunch of bad influences :)
I bought WebRoot-SecureAnywhere essentials the other day and today I am starting the thirty day trial of Emsisoft-Security Pack

So far both are running seamlessly
I am really liking the protection both are giving me

    Anymore ideas?

guest, I took a look at your security configuration and do I feel like an amateur.

You can use both Emsisoft Security Pack and WSA you know, if you are ready to bear some gruesome slowdowns.

I decided to use Emsisoft Ant-Malware(two engines) with WSA and CIS.
I'm configuring right now and setting up the exclusions.
On my P4 1.7GHz 1GB-Ram system everything is pretty quick but on startup I only have half my memory left.

And I still think you guys are a very bad influence :)

I'm sticking with this setup and I don't want to read about anything else, you guys and gals got it :)

I can confirm this. I myself am running a 1.6 gz 1gb ram intel atom netbook. When I tried to use eam and wsa they slowdown a lot. And all those eam, wsa and cis processes, scanning each other even though exclusions are set will eat ram and slow down pc big time. And with that we have browsers like chrome eating huge amount of ram with each tab opened. FF also eats ram. I'm interested at how Taran enjoys his pc when he is browsing and with all the three apps in realtime.
