I have or had a lifetime license for Ewido, and it transferred to AVGAS.
As mentioned on another post, I uninstalled AVGAS, and tried to reinstall the latest version. However, my license was not recognized.
How do I get that problem resolved?

I tried to go to the AVG forum, but was unable to register. Also it was the Free forum.

    Any help here?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

Don't you have the license number stored somewhere?

Did you update your license key as mentionned here?
If you're still using your ewido license key, it won't work.
Just insert your ewido license key and after pressing continue, a new license key will be issued for AVG Anti-Spyware. :)

Yes, I have the license number as it was sent by email, and appears on the update to AVGAS. But when I entered it in the license block it was rejected.

I tried it several times, and also checked the email from AVG for the update from Ewido to AVG. No luck.

    Best,
    Jerry

I went back to my Ewido license, and changed it to the AVGAS license, which was the same license number as I had on the program and which had been sent to me earlier.
I downloaded the program, installed it, and when I attempted to enter the license code it said it was expired.

Maybe the lifetime licenses are not still good if one uninstalls the program and attempts to install the latest. At least that is what is happening to me.
I suppose I can just use the free version.

Maybe someone from AVG/Ewido like Peter will give me some help.

    Regards, and thanks.

    UPDATE
For whatever reason, I downloaded and installed the latest version of AVGAS, entered my license and it accepted it.

So all is well now. I have no idea why it did not work earlier, but I am pleased that it is now OK.

    Thanks again for the suggestions.

    Regards,
    Jerry

That's good news indeed Jerry. :thumb:

How did you insert your license key?
Maybe you inadvertently copied a space or ... ?
    Our pleasure. ;)

    Hi Eldar,
Thanks. I was very careful when I entered the key, and once I copied and pasted to no avail. But, it has taken it now, and that is encouraging.

    Regards,
    Jerry
