Need iTunes Alternative Meeting These Criteria

    1. Free
    2. Cross platform - for Windows and Linux
    3. Actively developed / not going away soon
    4. Lighter than iTunes
    5. Looks and works a lot like iTunes

    I've heard of some like Amarok, Clementine, Songbird. Clementine's interface wasn't good and the playlists seemed awkward. Songbird has unnecessary browser stuff and it doesn't sound like the Windows version is that good. Amarok looked like iTunes but its size is larger than iTunes, ~80MB, but it may be lighter?

    Though if you're more on Linux than Windows, I'd just go with Amarok.

    Edit: One last option I ran across is Exaile (Linux only however): http://www.exaile.org/. I've not used it, but it just had a new release, so it's active. I still think if you're dead set on cross platform, Amarok will be the way to go.
