need help with a docking station problem!!

i have an IBM T41 with the thinkpad docking station and for some reason it will not boot up on the dockin station. it will not pass the IBM access screen and i cannot hit f12 or the IBM access button to interrupt the boot up process. it just hangs there.

but when i boot off the docking station, it boots up fine!

anyone know why this is happening? sounds like an IRQ problem, but i dont kno how to fix this... help?!

 

Without being an IBM expert, my guess is that you could have had a driver update recently that negated the docking station. You may need need to update the BIOS on the laptop. I had something similar happen on my Dell.

The other thing you may want to do is review what you have changed lately. You could also try unplugging and plugging the power to the docking station.

IBM should have their own forum. You could post there as well.
