    Hey everyone at Wilders,
This is my first ever post on this board. After reading and learning so much over the past decade here I just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed knowledge!
    So here is my questions:

I recently bought a new desktop which is on its way. The specifications are as listed:
    AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.3GHz, 64 bit Six-Core Processor, 8GB (2GB x 4) DDR3 1333, 2TB SATAII, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1280MB

I want to set it up with the best security and options possible. So I will implement Truecrypt. I’m unsure if I should run windows inside Ubuntu and make Ubuntu my base OS.

Perhaps using Ubuntu as my baseline Os will give everything within it more protection, less leakage and control?

Or should I have a dual booting system with Win7 and Ubuntu? Using Win7 for normal surfing and using Ubuntu for running VirtualDesk or VMware bases OS’s?

All comments welcome and thanks in advanced!
