Not quite done yet and considering your question about losing 28 GB.
I think it will be easiest to format the drive and start over.
It will probably require repartitioning your drive to get the rest back and the chances of losing everything are very much present then.

If you do not wish to do that:
    Endtask this process using Ctrl-Alt-Del
    SH261M.exe

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [uxuytvk] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\RFVPAHOF.EXE
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Kernel32] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Kernel.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SH261M] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SH261M.exe

Then reboot and do an online virusscan, you will find several listed here: http://www.wilders.org/free_services.htm

    Regards,

    Pieter

No, that was in case you did not want to format. I gave the instructions to get rid of the last malware.

No that's probably because your HD is not formatted properly. (Same reason why it's only showing 4 GB)
What started it all is still a mistery to me.

Do you have backups (on CD or other HD) of all your important files?

    Regards,

    Pieter

i keep on doing virus scans with solo anitivirus but it cant detect the VBS.Redlof.A virus. i've even made sure that the virus list is updated.

    I don't understand. I'm sorry.

You say Solo can't detect the virus, but I am still wondering why you are convinced that it is there?

    Regards,

The thing is that i have many anti virus on my computer for some reason and the symantec anti-virus corperate edition is tellin me that many of my files are still infected with the virus. So thats why im a little unsure about the virus being removed or not.
    Thanks
