As you have a variety of issues, I suggest you proceed as follows:

Go to https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=14086 , and download the latest version of CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom, the creator of Hijack This.
Run it, press 'Fix', and allow it to fix all it finds.

Now go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/, and download Ad-Aware.
After installing AAW, and before running the program, you NEED to FIRST update the reference file following these instructions.

    Now do the following:

    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

    Press "Scan Now"

    - Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
    - Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
    - Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
    - Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Click 'Next' again
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

If it finds "bad" files and registry keys, press "Next" again
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

    Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.
That ought to get rid of most of your spyware.

When you've done all that, re-run Hijack This, and show us a fresh log.
There will be more to do!

    Cheers,

Start your computer in Safe Mode (it may help if you print this out), and delete these files:

    C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\style.exe
    c:\installer\id53.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\A.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\winupd.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\S32GTD.exe
    C:\STARTW.EXE

NOTE: To avoid the risk of any of the above not being found due to them having the 'Hidden' attribute, first make sure that in Folder Options > View hidden and operating system files are set to show.

Next, still in Safe Mode, run Hijack This, and have it fix these items:

    Well, not quite, I'm afraid...

Please do the following, in exactly that order:

I'm assuming you haven't restarted your computer, and that it's still the DEMLD.exe process tha't's running.

You can verify this as follows: Go to Start/run, and type Msinfo32, followed by OK.
Go to Software Environment > Running Tasks
Click Edit/'Select all', and then 'copy'
If all is right, DEMLD.EXE should be listed.

If it isn't, there will be another, equally randomly named file...

Now download Process Explorer from http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/procexp.shtml
Create a new folder for it (for example C:\Process Explorer), and unzip the files into that folder.

Now close all browser windows, and disconnect your computer from the internet (this is important!)

Doubleclick procexp.exe. Process Explorer will launch, and it will list your running processes.
Locate the DEMLD.exe (or its clone) process, rightclick it, and choose 'Kill Process'.

Copy the text inside the quote box to Notepad, and save in a location of your choice as remove.reg (make sure you save as type: 'all files')

Doubleclick Remove.reg, and answer yes when prompted to add its contents to the Registry.

Now find that DEMLD.exe file, and (after sending Gavin a copy, as he requested) delete it.

Restart your computer, and post a fresh log; if all goes well that should do the trick.

Looks clean, but what is DEMLD.exe ?
Send the file to submit@diamondcs.com.au for analysis (recommended)

    We are in Australia.. ;)

Gavin, I took a wild guess and supposed it to be Winpup32... ;)
    Tell us what you find!

    Beaze,

I edited my regfile as there was a little error; it's OK now. Keep us posted on how you get on.
