For some reason, I can't edit my menus on MATE. Alacarte, the program used for this, worked fine on Debian Jessie but not on Arch. Here's what I'm trying to do, you can see that the "OK" option is grayed out:

    EDIT: Solved. Mozo did it.

Yeah sure. I like KDE a lot, unfortunately in my kinda special setup (booting and running Linux from an external HDD) I found no (recent) distro that could work.

    The List is long:
    Kubuntu
    Netrunner
Manjaro (I ditched it because I was not able to install it with LUKS encryption, it seems not available in the default installer from a live session)
    Mint KDE
    Etc.

Anyway, now I am enjoying MATE (UbuntuMATE just installed today) and still I must learn how to tweak it.

Yeah, Manjaro is surprisingly more dificult to install than Arch if you want to encrypt your drive. I could paste the commands I use, if you like. I use one partition for /boot, and the rest of it on an encrypted LVM (the sub-partitions/volumes you can create at your own discretion), this way I only type on passphrase at boot.

No problem. Contact me via PM so that I don't forget to send you the commands.
