need help formating a floppy to fit 1.42MB zip

    hi. i know floppys are are 1.44MB but i'm trying to put a zip file (1.42MB) on one and it says it wont fit. ive seen it's possible to format a floppy to 1.68, 1.70 and 1.72MBs. i might try changing it to a rar or whatever is smaller then a zip. or i might open it up and see if there's a readme i can take out. can anyone help making the zip fit the floppy? thanks

    Actually, 1.79MB IS support by Windows 2000/XP - however, you cannot format to 1.79MB on 2k/XP, you can use previously formatted disks under 2k/XP though.

    it worked :D i put FingerPrint on the floppy disk. thanks for the help..
