    Hey everyone,
Im looking for a program that will allow me to convert video files (specifically .avi) to a format which i can burn to a DVD to allow me to watch it in a standard DVD player.
Im not a very technical person, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a very user-friendly, easy to use program to allow me to do this.

    Thank you all in advance,
    Cheers

if u have nero burning rom, u can use it to burn video cds and dvds. it automatically converts the video so no need to worry about that.

    Hi Under0ath :)
I would try a Free Trial Version of Nero 6 Reloaded which can be found here to see if it"s to your liking. It combines all the elements for a quality finished product which will serve you well

the free version cant burn video dvds and idk if the pro version will automatically convery AVIs like nero does. also u dont wanna use nero, u can try Super DVD Creator its not free but the download is smaller. the interface looks simple enough and it does burn avi to a video dvd.

this program can do it, i went to the home page and there are two newer versions, but i was confused what to download, if you can work it out it might be a better program

and if [ur=http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/]audiograbber[/url] can do it then it should make a perfect copy.

Thank you all for your imput. out of all of those you all have listed, which do you think is the easiest to use? Im not interested in creating fancy menus, or adding all kinds of random things, just the ability to watch DVDs on any DVD player.

    Thank you all again,

    Cheers

What about if you want UDF so you can store data on a DVD-RW like a floppy?
Are there any recommendations besides Roxio DirectCD?
    Thanks

i would assume both files are in the same folder so just point nero (or any software with bin/cue support) to the cue file and burn it. the bin is the actual data but the cue file has some the info needed to burn it.

Would i need to use Nero, or could i use that terrible dvd burning thing that windows incorperates into its machines? (dragging the files to the E drive, then burning).

Will the free trial of Nero allow me to burn the file?
