    Hello,

I need a software tool for Windows that works as a PDF printer driver, I mean to stay among the real printers and to create PDF files from what I print to it ( must work with Excel, PowerPoint ).. I tried a few free ones but they all have some nags or annoying limitations, a commercial product would be acceptable as long as is not very expensive ( under $100 )... Any suggestions?

Nuance: Pdf Converter ranks high among the less expensive Acrobat alternatives.

Have you tried CutePDF? <-- Free

Yes, but it lacks the ability to compare PDF documents.

I have several free ones loaded plus Adobe Acrobat Professional. The one I always go to is CutePDF. It is fast and trouble free. I even use it in place of Adobe because of its' speed.

There are many free ones available and all I have tested have done the job.

I have been using PDFCreator for awhile now and it is free. It works with most Office products (Word, Excel, and I think PowerPoint).

Thank you for the helpful suggestions!

I took a look at some of the products you mentioned, for example CutePDF. The program is ok, but I saw that it required some kind of script to operate. PDFcreator I saw that doesn't have updates since August:(
I did more searches and found a useful one: PDF Writer Pro
I'll take it for a spin, to see how it goes.

    Thank you!
