"Millions of LinkedIn users' personal details have allegedly been leaked on a popular hacking forum.

...a data archive apparently scraped from 500 million LinkedIn profiles has been put up for sale online...

The leaked records include user names, phone numbers, email addresses, links to other social media profiles and users' workplace details..."

It is scrapping of publicly visible information. Is leak a good name for that? I don't think so.

It won't be long until outright paranoia starts invading everyone's aspect of online entry of what they finger push onto registration forms and other data they initiate ripe for scraping purposes no matter terms to the contrary that their info will be safe. Seems there's no such thing as a reasonable choice. If it's online it can be swallowed up.
