    Could someone take a look at this thread please
    user has spywaregaurd win 98,, Microsoft office 2000

    misalanious Problems and with oleaut32.dll.

    Ive had him attempt to download an install vbrun60sp5.exe

    But im uncertain what he did ,and its almost my bedtime

    and I am unfamilur w/sfc win 98 etc etc etc

    Hi Lonny,

    No offense, but I think you are on the wrong track there.
    If you look at the log he has posted a few days ago, both SG processes are running.

    I would have him fix:
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [OutlookFixMAPI] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\fixmapi.exe
    which is known to cause starnge errors.
    If that doesn't help have checkitout scan for viruses.
    And if he has a Windows CD sfc /scannow to see if any system files are corrupt or missing.

    I need the obvious pointed out to me !!
    and I expect you Pros to do so :)

    I will try that see what happens
    I wonder why the startups page isnt showing
    OutlookFixMAPI or fixmapi.exe
