MySpace Website safe ?

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knew if the website My Space is safe to use as an online communication place.

Need to know this for my teens that want to join.


Also...is any of you using YAHOO! 360 ?? What is your opinion of it ?

they've been getting plently of media attention lately..

I dont see any harm in joining, but bookmark their webpage, just to check up on them

i wouldnt use it too many of my friends have been hacked or have to take thier computer to to computer shop to fix it from all the malware. Expect alot of idiots putting pornographic pics on thier "myspace" crap and or things children shoulnt see or hear

yup. but the way i look at, myspace can be a fun community for people as long as u avoid the wrong people and u have a bit of common sense and not download or click anything suspicious. also (for firefox users) there are greasemonkey scripts that can remove custom styles and embedded media from a persons myspace profile. its handy for slower internet connections and it makes them much easier to read.

But sadly not all...especially younger people have it (yet).
And some may think...oh ...it cannot happen to MEE.

i've just been at a site where they use google hacks to find underage MySpace users so they can report them and get them banned

i've never heard one good thing about MySpace.

One of our News station had a clip on My Space and other such outlets and it reminded me to tell my nieces\nephews again to watch what they put on their profiles. There are some sick cookies out there visiting these type places

 

Seems like our kids are nowhere safe, huh ?

i didn't want to give my age and i was seriously thinking of joining MySpace so i was looking at pictures, but i just don't think i could put my picture online not for more then 3 seconds at a time anyway and after reading some of the threads - "happy Wednesday" i've had second thoughts about it.

 

Yeah....My Space seems like a fun place to be. Just the youngsters have to be Extra Extra careful !
