Eset 5 is real better than v3->v4, there lot news stuff

1-I am very happy to found the cloud
but i suggest, the option in right click on the file for submit directly by cloud list !
(better with comments)

2-little bug but not important, i choose beta licence and for update, the software ask me a licence (not important i try this beta in virtualbox)

3- in first interface there are "Maximum Protection" may be an other text will be better for exemple "functional" or "run", why mximum protection? there are little and middle protection icon too ?

5-Parental control, i switch teenager and child account, i write "sex", select a link on google and i am porn site

6-i don't understand why firewall is only "automatic mode" per default....lot of people say, "ahaha the firewall suck, he don't see softwares connect on the net" and it is right, automatic mode suck...(keylogger can submit password...)

7- little test antivirus (yes because update don't run see number 2), i open link in malware and click directly Run.
okay eset detect and stop but why he ask reboot?
never in v2.5-2.7-3-4 i have test when i click in Run directly ask reboot...

8- again in the cloud, will be little better when we click on "process", "risk number"...it's classified

9- for unknow risk in cloud submit software / comment at the labs for better detection, for example, here, virtualbox is unknown, i send link software and explain what that is.

10- the screen for website block is again old

For the end, i think eset 5 is better, many new things, but is not perfect, the cloud is not sufficiently highlighted.

I hope in eset team for doing better software

Currently we're investigating why the beta feedbacks from users from certain countries are redirected to their local distributors instead of ESET directly. If you fill in the form at the above mentioned web page and do not receive a response from ESET, let me know.

You can submit a file by right-clicking it in Windows Explorer or a file manager and selecting Advanced options -> Submit file for analysis. However, this is not recommended as more than 95% of files people submit is a pure junk. Therefore I'd recommend following the instructions here when submitting files.

Unless you got an error activating the license, a beta username and password should have been filled in automatically.

Yes, if you disable some of the modules or if you don't keep the program up to date ESET will not provide maximum protection.

ESET does not rate websites. A site either contains malware or not. If it does, it's blocked by the url blocking feature without requiring the user to do anything or paying attention to certain rating symbols/flags.

That would happen if license activation failed (apparently this is most likely the issue according to what you wrote above). Go to Setup -> Product activation and enter the username and password you received after the initial attempt to activate the beta.

Automatic mode is suitable for most people without nagging them with prompts. Advanced users, who understand what firewall prompts for, can switch to interactive mode or define their own rules in the policy-based mode.

Not sure if you tested it with the same malware. First of all, if you downloaded the malware or copied it from another location, wasn't it detected and quarantined automatically? What if you right-click the file and select to scan & clean it with ESET? Isn't it detected and removed? Does enabling AH on file access make a difference?

Sorry, I have no clue as to what you mean. The risk level for each of the processes should be displayed.

As I have mentioned above, you can submit suspicious files from the right-click context menu (not recommended but you have this option). Besides manual submission of suspicious files, the cloud system itself collects and stores information necessary for assessing files on other users' computers providing you choose to participate in the Cloud-powered Reputation system.

This does not affect the functionality in any way. Quite the contrary, the simpler page, the lower probability of problems with different browser on different systems and platforms.

Sorry for my bad english, it is difficult for explain, i talk for the bleu menu (where i put my mouse), this menu will be better if i can click for classified.

I add, near green question text "checked" or "not checked' will be add by the eset lab when they are checked hash file in labs.

 

When you installed the beta, there was supposed to be an activation screen at the end of the install process, asking for your name and email. If you entered a valid email, then a message should have been sent to you by ESET, containing the beta license information (and on my machine, it also installed this licence directly into ESS).

Regarding point 8, I think you mean that you'd like to be able to sort (trier) the list by the criteria/column you choose, like "number of users", right ? Such a functionality would indeed be useful, for instance to be able to sort all trusted/unknown/untrusted rather than PID (which I guess is the current way it's displayed, since even process names are in seemingly random order).

 

Most likely there will be a filter instead of sorting by columns which is not an easy task at all.
