I have followed the instructions on how to remove the CasProg from my Add/Remove prog. I think I have removed most of all those popups that came with it like Golden Palace Casino, Lycos Sidesearch, and various other popups. I also used Ad-aware first, and here is my log

    Hi mwalso,

    Welcome to Wilders.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {0428FFC7-1931-45b7-95CB-3CBB919777E1} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWAY\MYBAR\2.BIN\MYBAR.DLL
    O3 - Toolbar: &SearchBar - {0494D0D9-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWAY\MYBAR\2.BIN\MYBAR.DLL

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [updmgr] C:\Program Files\Common files\updmgr\updmgr.exe

    O4 - Startup: gstartup.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\GMT.exe

    O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) -

Then reboot in Safe Mode and delete the following:

    C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWAY\ <-- entire folder
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\ <-- entire folder

Reboot and then post a fresh HijackThis log.

    Regards,
    Kent

    Hi mwalso,

Copy the part in the quotes below, save it as uninstcasprog.reg in notepad with file type as all types
and doubleclick that file when you are done.
Confirm you want to merge it with the registry when prompted.

It may require a reboot, but then CasProg should be gone in Add/Remove Software.

    Regards,
    Kent

How exactly (upper case, lower case, spaces, spelling) does it appear in your Add/Remove? Search2020, search2020, or Search 2020, etc.....

    Hi mwalso,

Click Start > Run > in the dialog box copy and paste regedit /e C:\uninstall.reg "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall"

Then find C:\uninstall.reg and open it in notepad.
    Post the content.

    Regards,

    Pieter
