My Flash drive is messed up

    Whenever I try to read the flash drive it says it needs to be formatted, then Windows says it cannot format it. I cannot access no info of my flash drive, I have a Sandisk Micro 512mb. It lights up when plugged into a usb port but won't read and can't access any files.

    Hello the phoenix 2,

    Did you create the data with your system, and if you did, are you plugging it back into the same USB port that it was originally installed on?

    BTW, some flash drives have a physical locking option - check that.
