my favorites list need little help

Need some help. how do I keep my favorites list from going into alphabetical order everytime I reboot? Thanks. Just to clarify a little.I arranged them in the order of use on top,and this was working fine,until now,then on all of a sudden on reboot,they all became alphabetized. This is in IE os XP

Just a thought Frank, if you keep them in a folder in favorites, they'll retain their position.
You can also organize and rename if it helps. Without a folder, they're prone to go alphabetical.
