    Greetings,
I'm trialing TDS-3. I ran full system scan and received message that Trojan Mutex(es) Found. No file names displayed in the lower part of the screen, however. I searched read the Help screen entitled "Disinfection - Removing trojans." The Help screen provides direction on what to do when TDS-3 lists the suspected trojan filename(s), but this is not my case.

    I appreciate your advice.

    Regards,
    Stro

    Hi Stro,
The mutexes alerts would be in the main console. Does it look like
10-4 00:24:22 [Mutex Memory Scan] Started...
10-4 00:24:25 [Mutex Memory Scan] Finished (no trojan mutexes found).
    Sometimes there is Mutexes found:
without names and then there are no mutexes. That detection is updated as well and so does the wording at times.

Thank you for the reply, Jooske.

When I run "Mutex Memory Scan" from the Console Control (main page), I get:
    11:48:34 [Mutex Memory Scan] Started...
11:48:36 [Mutex Memory Scan] Trojan mutex(es) found:

But this is all TDS-3 tells me. (The Radian database is current as of April 9, by the way.)

Jooske, can you please clarify for me your statement:
    "Sometimes there is Mutexes found:
without names and then there are no mutexes."

    Do you mean:
    1) If TDS-3 does not display file names, then there are no mutexes?, or
2a) Sometime mutexes are found, but TDS-3 does not display their filenames, and 2b) Sometime mutexes are found by TDS-3 when really no mutexes exist.

    Thanks for your help, Jooske.

    Regards,
    Stro

;) I mean indeed sometimes there is displayed
    Trojan Mutex(es) found:

    (without any further filenames)
which in this case means there are no mutexes found indeed (your #1 option)
    Option #2b happens very rare.

It might be right again after a little while with the next mutexes detection update.
