For a company like Blizzard Entertainment that philosophy is fine because you don't have a choice - since they combined Battle.Net with everything you only have one logon - one password automatically logs you onto the forums and your WoW account so you know they are treating it at least reasonably securely.

But with Steam and Steam Forums that apparently wasn't the case. They are now advising people to use difference passwords for those services. They even have another service called Steam Support.

It may be tempting to use the same password since it is logical - it is the same service basically - but the problem is they treat actual Steam passwords the most secure, and the other services are less secure/priority wise it seems.
