My computer seems to be working normally. However, I happened to notice in device manager there is a yellow questionmark next to "multimedia audio controller". What is that and do I need to be concerned about it?

    Thanks,
    Len

P.S. computer is dell dimension 8400 with soundblaster audio card in it - XP SP3

    Hello,
first try the update driver button and let it try and find drivers from windows update.

    next try here

    also try here

creative is the company that make the soundblaster cards and it should be able to detect the card and give you the lastest driver using the software autoupdate link. btw only works with internet explorer.

    hope the above helps.
let me know how you get along.

    Iodore -

Thank you for your help. Both of the links you gave me are to the same site - I assume that was not your intention. Can you fix that for me?

Also, why am I getting sound (that sounds normal) without these drivers? Should I leave well enough alone?

    Thanks again,
    Len

there is no harm in installing drivers for that device.
