    This reminded me to wonder why Microsoft still pushes the MSRT tool to its users.

    With the amount of malware that exists nowadays this tool that detects certain samples is pointless, IMO. Microsoft already have Microsoft Safety Scanner (which is the MSRT version with full antivirus/antimalware database) - why don't they push it to the clients of Windows, instead of MSRT.

    MSRT was once very useful, now it is nothing but for marketing. Safety Scanner and other like that would do better real job against all kind of threats known to Microsoft to the date of release.
