Loving MSE so light on my computers, reminds me of AVG 7.5 days! all the others now are so bogged down and slow my computers.
Damn right it's great. I used to agonise over which third-party realtime AV to use (freeware and shareware) until I finally came to the realisation that Windows Defender is all I need, along with regular backups and a good dose of common sense. This is especially true with the improved under the hood changes on Windows 10. I do still run scans every now and again with Emsisoft Emergency Kit for peace of mind, but they always come up clean.
It is a huge improvement in the Creators Update for Windows 10. At least as far as its lightness. As for its effectiveness, I will still have to see evidence over a longer term than a couple of weeks. I will be keeping an eye on tests, but it looks like they are going in the right direction.
