Hi, I traded a laptop for a guys desktop. Now the desktop is only used for DC computing, no monitor, etc. It's only function is DC computing project. That machine has a newer version of MS Office, than my daily used machine.

Can I extract the 'key' from the DC machine for MS Office, dl that version & apply to my, daily user? If so how?

If you can't, install LibreOffice. It will do nearly everything MS Office does.

If you really need MS Office, there's the online suite, stripped down - for free.

I have a functional OFFICE on this machine, but the not used machine (traded for), has newer version of office. Curious If the 'key' can be extracted

No. Does the new version of MS Office have a key? The key is associated only with that version.
