A neat new feature is the ability to ignore threads for those that use T-Bird for mailing lists, Usenet, etc. You might want to read the entire KB before using.

I guess they've decided to align Thunderbird's version number with the current LTS Firefox (which does point releases until catching up at every 7th "major" version of the release channel). We'll get 24.0.1. 24.0.2, etc. until version 31 next year.

not much new and exciting in this new version, but a whole bunch of security fixes, which are always welcome.
