hi guys, I'm building a new system and will be reinstalling XP from scratch. obviously I will need LnS on the new system. Is there anything I can do to make the transition easier so I don't have to re-setup from scratch? Thanks!

    ver 2.06 btw

    Hi,

The main thing is to copy the ruleset you are currently using from the old PC to the new one.

Then, for the settings, you can use the "extra save" option in the options tab (+ Apply button). This will create a lns.reg file in the Look 'n' Stop folder and you can import this registry file and execute it on the new PC. The .reg is created when Look 'n' Stop is stopped only.

Note that all applications with their current paths will be imported but probably some of them will have another path in the new computer, so maybe you will have to do some cleanup in the application list.

    Regards,

    Frederic
