    This Trojan uses affected machines as a platform to send out spam messages to mobile phones via SMS. SMS, or Short Messaging Service, is a feature in digital mobile phones that allows users to send and receive text messages. This service is widely used in Asia and Europe, thus, this Trojan may receive media attention in these regions and other SMS-inclined countries.

    This particular sample sends out SMS messages to random mobile phone numbers in Russia. It does this by connecting to the Web sites of certain Russian mobile networks, the addresses of which are hardcoded (or preconfigured) in its body. It runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP.
