I cannot find clear directions on how to get this working without enabling the http mirror. I want it simply to update via a LAN folder.

"Server" computer is running XP Pro. Workstations do not have an account on the server computer. No matter what kind of settings I try on client and server, they will not download updates. I've set client to connect to LAN as a "nod32" user I created on the server, assigned everyone and network user as readable permissions on server file share. Update password is set to the same thing as the nod32 user.

It only works when using http mirror option. Any suggestions? I'm at whits end here, it seems needlessly overcomplicated. The help included with the program was not enough assistance.

    Please, help!

Do you get an error message in the ESET event log when attempting to update via Windows shares?
