    Hi.
Me and my friends are using MiniTool Partition Wizard (the boot CD) a lot.
I'm curious why on most of the new computers doesn't start (we see only a black screen)... We tried all combinations from its startup menu, no change.
On the other hand Linux distributions (like Knoppix or Fedora) start fine on those PCs. So we used Parted Magic.
I ask here because their support is of course very poor for nonpaying customers...
    Thank you for your help.

    Regards, Cosmin3

    Cosmin3,

Are the new computers UEFI systems? Parted Magic supports UEFI. I don't know whether MiniTool does.

    Thank you.

    Most of them are.
But I deactivated UEFI Boot and there is no change...

Do you have an option for Legacy CD boot in the Boot Menu?

Unfortunately I don't see this option in the Boot menu...
The computer I test is an Asus U36S laptop.
I see UEFI Boot and PXE ROM, both disabled.

I tried to start Minitool Partition wizard boot CD as a CD and from USB flash. Both failed.

Do you have legacy USB support in the UEFI BIOS?

I have an Asus Thunderbird motherboard. It has both legacy and UEFI CD/USB boot. My wife has an Asus Vivo Tab with Win8. She has no legacy support at all. It only boots from 32-bit UEFI USB flash drives.

Edit... Correction. My motherboard is Asus Sabretooth.

I see an "Legacy USB Support" option in another Bios menu (called "Advanced") and it's enabled.

Does the MiniTool UFD boot in that computer? Are there two USB options in the boot menu?

If you're talking about MiniTool Power Data Recovery boot CD, I tested it and it has the same problem.
It starts booting, an underscore is blinking for a few seconds in the top/left area of the (black) screen and then it's not blinking anymore.

In the Bios the boot menu shows (sorry for the bad quality): Image.png .
