I was an early user of the final version of Windows 2000 Professional and in those days many softwares didn't even work under win2000pro, which was very annoying.
I learned my lesson. I'm glad I skipped winXP and didn't spend any money on it.
Once I need a new computer it probably will have the final version of Windows Vista, including the numerous fixes and patches, just like in win2000pro.
At that time WSF will be talking about the many advantages of Windows 7.0 :)

    chaos,
    Viruses are big money.
Each time there was an outbreak of a virus world-wide, our software shops in Belgium sold a lot more AV scanners than usual.
Scare the users enough and they start buying in panic.
It was even on TV with NAV boxes in the background LOL.
