    New Microsoft ads (in July) tout unavailable Recall feature
    Copilot+ PCs have launched without Recall, but the ads don't say so.

    E-mail is probably not the best example because if they are infected then adversary can probably access that message. That e-mail will be on both e-mail accounts usually (sender, receiver) and local database of e-mail client if they don't use webmail or use both.
    The only time when this won't be the case is when they have a habit of deleting all e-mail they have read, but it is rare. Or have some kind of expiration policy set which is also rare.

    Actually due to e-mail design it is considered as 'durable medium' in a legal sense in many jurisrictions.

    This is in oposite to ephemeral communication like WhatsApp and Signal View-once Media

    TL;DR: don't use e-mail for information that you wish nobody will store forever
