Microsoft server 2008

    I cannot connect to server from remote administration console.
    Get: connection failed , port 2223
    Anyone knows if there are certain roles on the server that has to be installed in order to fix the problem

    The firewall in 2k8 is on by default. Add the appropriate exceptions.

    Hi!
    No, sorry, firewall is not active, has been switched off.
    That's why i wander if certain roles has to be installed. Only "domain controller" is installed so far. Maybe "application server" would help?

    No additional roles should be required, as far as I know.
    It's a TCP port, so try telnetting to it from the client, and the server itself, in order to see whether the problem is on the client or the server sude.

    Maybe ESET could shed some light on the matter?
