    For those that may be unaware, Microsoft conducts various surveys from time to time including usability studies, advertising ideas, etc. Although such groups in the past were invitation only, it seems that anyone interested can put in an application here:

    The reason that I bring this up is that MSFT will be shortly conducting a Windows 8 user survey. Those with strong feeling against this new OS and with ideas for improvement may find the Panel a way to effect change.

    I understand that emails have gone out to those who signed up and were accepted. Seems that there was actually a freebee of MS software involved.
