    Good for them but did they not also approve the extensions to begin with? I wonder what the validation process for browser extensions is. It must not be a very detailed process, this seems to happen with all browsers. I think people have a false sense of security when downloading from official stores. You should be able to assume anything found there is safe but that is clearly not the case. Having actual developers inspect the source code would be costly and time consuming but finding the issues after it is distributed isn't a good system either.
