Today the Dutch King has opened the Microsoft Quantum Lab at the campus of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).
Article in Dutch at local newssite Omroep West:

    Purpose: making a Quantum Computer.

It will be interesting to follow further developments.
The Majorana particle (Majorana fermion) is playing an important part in the development.
Professor Leo Kouwenhoven (and others of course!) has done lots of research on it.
    See Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majorana_fermion
