    Sounds rather normal as they stop any support or patches for the entire OS by that date. Make no sense to keep MSE updated while running on an untrusted platform. :)

    Thats an awful lot of users MS will lose.

    This is nothing short of blackmail by microsoft.

    On another note, Microsoft has also stopped issuing updates for Windows 95, 98, 2000.

    BFD!!!!! If users of MSE, who after being encouraged by M$ to get another AV solution because MSE simply isn't up to par with other AV solutions, were reluctant to do so of their own will a kick in the seat will get them going.
