As the upcoming Office 2013 lacks Microsoft Picture Manager,
what program do you suggest as a replacement for the Microsoft Picture Manager?

I'm trying to find a simpler App than XnView, IrfanView etc.

Something like Microsoft Picture Manager; something Simple yet Powerful:
An App offering Color Management, Image Clipping, Image Resizing , Image Rotation etc.

    I wonder IF such a Replacement exists...o_O

You can do brightness and contrast, as I have used these before, there are other picture adjustment tools mentioned at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-live/photo-gallery-get-started.

    Cheers, Nick.

I tried it, but the Color Management (e.g. Brightness, Saturation etc.) of Windows Essentials 2012
is Not as effective as the one of Microsoft Picture Manager.
Yes, I did. Using Microsoft Office 2013 and installing Only Microsoft Picture Manager from Office 2010 or 2007.
    It is an option...

Did you try the new Windows Photo Gallery? It replaced the old Windows Live Photo Gallery from the Windows Live Essentials 2012 too.

It doesn't support animated GIFs. At this day and age, any pic viewer that doesn't support animated GIFs is a big NO

    XNVIEW is the best pick

    I believe this is true
I 'm no expert, I have noticed Picasa would 'grab' mp 4 videos, which I had transferred from my mobile. Unfortunately it would not play them, until I installed quicktime. I just play them from my documents, with the brilliant VLC.

Does Picasa still index all your photos even when you ask it not to?
