Microsoft may have fixed Security Essentials update issue!

So I have this inexpensive Acer laptop that I only use when we go visit the adult children for a few days. Since it is used infrequently, I've always gone "free" for security and have been using SE. Once or week or so I boot it to update security programs, so I did it today because of the MS December updates. Usually, even an hour later, I often have to manually update SE but today it must have did it within the 10 minute window it is supposed to do it in. I even checked the version number on the MS site and indeed it was current. Does anyone know if they fixed it?

 

I'm not sure.

I'm using the beta which today was updated to version 1.0.1801.0.

Maybe the regular was also updated.
