Microsoft makes all new accounts passwordless by default

    Of course they want to end passwords. No plausible deniability of claiming you don't remember your password when you can be compelled to unlock a device with biometrics.

    As we are all aware - or should be - there are no problems with passwords, IF used correctly.
    Sadly, as I keep ranting, convenience over-rules security, and so now almost everything is set at the lowest bar to cater for the masses.

    I'm getting tired of the efforts to protect me. Nothing wrong with my long, generated passwords. These days I have to have my cell phone sitting with me at the desktop computer because it might be needed to log in to a site.
