Microsoft Announces Unlimited Private Repos for GitHub Free

Users of the GitHub Free plan can now create an unlimited amount of private repositories, with a simple caveat: all of the repos created using this GitHub plan will only be able to support up to three collaborators.

Microsoft changed GitHub's stance regarding the creation of private repositories which were previously only available as an option to paying GitHub customers.

A second shift in GitHub's product policy has also been announced by Microsoft, with GitHub Experience being a newly launched product encompassing the Enterprise Server (formerly GitHub Enterprise) and Enterprise Cloud (formerly GitHub Business Cloud).
