Don't laugh too hard, lol, Microsoft could throw a few billion Mozilla's way and we could end up seeing a little Windows flag in the top corner of the browser and re-branded.

Aww, don't worry too much, it isn't too likely to happen ;) If Opera were an American company I could see them being bought before Mozilla since Opera has even less of the browser market (though that is changing with mobile units and such now).

If true, it would be similar to the Greek horse given to Troy. ;)

Personally, I find it sad that Firefox fanboyism has sunk to this level...

A classic Archilles vs Hector. And we know what the outcome of that Prince Of Troy was when the two met alone at battle!

I don't get it. What's wrong with it? It's just a bit of fun.

I got strange looks from people here when I laughed out loud to that comment :)

"Personally, I find it sad that Firefox fanboyism has sunk to this level..." I don't get it either, I didn't see any "fanboy" remarks anywhere. It's as popular as it is because it IS better than IE7, now, whether it's better than Opera, THAT is where you'll see the more "fanboy" remarks usually.

Firefox 3 will now become the most attacked browser in the world instead of MSIE8.

I'm not sure I'm ready to agree with that one yet or not. IE8 will still be hooked pretty deep within Windows, so no doubt it will still cause problems. As far as popularity is concerned, unless IE8 blows everyone away (I won't hold my breath on that), you may be right.

    Yes I agree

But to be fair the alternative of IE rising to the level of Firefox is hardly likely.

I don't see why Microsoft just don't simply untether IE from the O/S and go on from there. On another note i haven't liked IE7 since it first came out and still don't although many don't have a problem with it. On my end i don't have a problem with either IE6 or Opera.

The only reason i don't bother with FF right now because theres no need to although it has many advantages and seems to be taking on more users all the time, and why not?
