SpyShelter protects against microphone logging from what I remember.

If you don't use your microphone much you could just uninstall the drivers or turn the levels right down to 0 and keep an eye on it every now and then.

    Hello,

I went to the Control Panel, clicked the Sound icon, and went to the Recording tab and disabled all microphone and line in devices.

    Regards,

    Nathan

I would just pull the cord out of my computer when I wasn't using it... make sure that sucker isn't still working. Same with a webcam.

And if you're worried about locking it down while in use, then a program like Zemana or Spyshelter seem like good ideas, or Comodo D+, and of course your Flash settings in Control Panel.
