I recently updated to SP2, I think this is when Messenger lost my email notification that mail has arrived in my Hotmail account.

Any suggestions in getting it back?

    Cheers :D

Well the answer is, SP2 removes some functionality that we have become accustomed to, such as being notified that you have new email arrived in your Hotmail account.

The solution is to download MSN Messenger from here:

    http://messenger.msn.com/download/downloadx.aspx

    And problem solved...

    Cheers :D

    Ah, there's the answer.

Well, it's a good thing that you kept bumping this topic, otherwise you might never have noticed the thread and given yourself the answer.

    :D

    - Now how's that for trying to make this look better than it was? :doubt:

LMAO, started to find the same problem on every machine that has SP2 installed, apparantly it is a new FEATURE, why it is so, is beyond me, and guess we'll see a lot more people in the future wanting to know how to fix the new FEATURE, as the saying goes; nothing a hammer can't fix ;)

    Cheers :D
