This can only be a good thing.
who is Merijn!!! ?
He created Hijackthis and then sold it to Trend Micro
cool so my dream came true he will be the one to built the bahabiour blocker withing mbam let's see what happen
He is a legend, an anti-spyware specialist who was behind HiJackThis. He also wrote CWShredder.
I am an avid user of MAM, and this is wonderful news. (If it's true)
it should be in the news paper
I agree. Excellent news!
Maybe, but I sincerely doubt that that's what they hired him for. "HijackThis" isn't a behavior blocker program. AFAIK, Merjin is not an expert in developing behavior blockers.
i know but i ask ruberducky and he told to stay tune when i ask if they can add a hips/behabiour blocker
i hope the do built a from scratch behabiour blocker cause it is only mamutu and thretfire,we need some thing new
The Malwarebytes team gets even better
That's a great addition to any team!
its looking good, it wuld be fantastic if a hijack this like ability was built right into Mbam.
Yeah If MBAM adds a behavior blocker then i would have to finally buy it I believe.
Great news indeed!
I read this news a few days ago . This is excellent! Congratulations!
And note he is only 29 years old and has help the Anti-Malware community so much with his tools and knowledge!
That is interesting news.
Nice catch for the rubber duck and team.
Merijn was/is a legendary figure.

I always wondered what had become of him.
No doubt busy some where.
HJT -still- one of the bulwarks for malware detection, obviously some ;eh; "development" of malware since HJT sold to Trend, ( and dev seemed to have ceased ) , realistically maybe some better tools now, but I don't doubt that MB is still interested and will be a very effective addition to MBAM.
The news of MB joining MBAM has been reported at almost every 'security' site I can see, and gathered many comments of interest and support.
Now if he could just fix MS's holes
