    Hello,

I once used another image software that was quite media sensitive, so the question. I am using CD-RWs with True Image now, but will be getting a DVD burner soon. Will TDK DVD-RWs be good media to use with True Image ?

Any advice will be Greatly Appreciated.

    Thank You So Much,

    Wayne

I think this is one of those questions where the answer is very subjective. Different burners work optimally with different media. Personally I don't have any one media manufacturer that I would recommend over another. I use Memorex (it works for me) but have have read posts on other message boards slating that media so it's all down to personal preference and what works best for you.

As far as imaging with TI is concerned, if you create an image and then verify it with the 'check image' function and it shows as being ok then you are making good images. Making good images is all you can achieve. Better media will not make better images. They are either good or they are corrupt.

Thank You for your reply pjb024,

You are right, Either it is a good image, or not. The reason I came to True Image is because with the last software the CD-RWs Worked hardly at all. I had only one set that worked reasonably well. I had a hard time getting a good image. The company said I was using inferior media, so my question arose.

You were very generous with your reply. I Thank You So Much.

    Hello waynerr,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    I would agree with pjb024.

The only thing to add is to suggest you to read the FAQ article describing how to create images on DVD using Acronis True Image 8.0.

    Thank you.

    Thank You Alexey,

I am glad I came to Acronis also. You, as part of their support team, knew I would need the information in the FAQ. I printed out the question on DVDs for when I will need it and bookmarked the FAQ page. Now all I need is the DVD burner to show up. :)

    Thanks Again,

    Wayne
