Since malware detection of the two would be very similar, the effect on system performance may be more important.

IME, on a variety of computers both at Home and Work, the Enterprise version generally runs lighter, with seemingly very little slowdown.

BUT try the two on your computer and see which one suits you and your machine the best.

detection is just about identical between the two (same scan engine and defs) but the enterprise runs lighter and has daily updates which the other versions don't have yet

What i meant to ask was wether either of the product has something better to offer than the other? Keep aside lightness, i wanna know the difference in features.

    Thanks.

mcafee 8.0i is much more configurable, And personally I prefer the GUI in 8.0i as stated earlier the detection rates are almost identical. So it just comes down to personal choice on this one. ;)

i agree with bigc and id also like to point out that mcafee VSE also has an IPS that blocks certain actions (like ie running anything from temp folder) and certain network communications (like ftp or irc).

    Enterprise version because:
    Daily updates
    More setings
    Buffer Overflow protection
Intrusion prevention mechanism (something like PrevX in a bit limited form)
No McAfee Security Center (very stupid addon for home users)
Interface is also much better imo

If want not from the business enterprise version and personal words of version choice, is still the comparison favor business enterprise edition. After all the mode of the business enterprise version, turn to do still with the supervision procedure very quite good. However is to upgrade the virus database slightly slow. But the MCAFEE stability can't pick fault with.

Personal version the upgrade good very much, average everyday at increase the virus database, and check the abilities of kills all always quite good.

    Trust the MCAFEE
