    The program deliberately does not write to your MBR as that would make it too easy to accidentally wipe your hard drive. However, you can use a program such as WinHex or any number of other utilities that can write to raw disk sectors to restore your MBR.

    No, absolutely not. Those are just the stored error messages that the boot loader will display if anything goes wrong during the boot process.

    There's a new version of Autostart Explorer in the works. It will be vastly improved over the current version.
