read that on the BBC - amazing this is down to just one guy working for them, been arrested now FBI looking at the largest **** up at Mastercard and there have been a few?
I've been following this story from an end user POV.
The ramifications continue to gather pace.
What a farce especially on top of the other recent data thefts; Choice point etc.
Here in Oz a spokesperson from our third biggest bank said "this shouldn't be too big a problem, probably only a couple of thousand customers should be affected"
That statement is apalling from so many points of view.
Here we are good and interested gnomes beavering away helping each other to protect ourselves and our friends; and the big boys (to whom we pay MASSIVE fees) are leaking like the Titanic.
I just occassionally feel so defeated and so sad at the rampant cynicism and lack of concern.
