Malwarebytes lays off 100+ workers ahead of planned company split

    TechCrunch’s source said that Malwarebytes has also let go its chief product officer, chief information officer and chief technology officer recently. Kleczynski confirmed that the company had “made leadership changes.”

    If venture capitalists were involved, this may be the price demanded to permit last month's acquisition of Cyrus Labs, Inc. by the Malwarebytes Corporation.

    Weird that they aquired Cyrus Labs, seems like it's something they could have developed themselves, not that advanced or anything. But not a surprising move that they are splitting the company, most money is made in the enterprise, perhaps they are even going to sell it to some other company. I have read that SentinelOne is looking for a buyer too, Whiz was interested, but seems like they called it off.
