I just downloaded and installed MB4's Component package version 1.0.781. No idea when it was released. Program restart was all that was required. :)

Fairly close to noon PST today. BTW - it should be 1.0.782 BETA

Also, a few more Swedish language UI errors may have been corrected.

    Hello @Page42 and @Krusty

With gratitude to you, I have asked the Product Manager for clarification.

    Thank you!

Just to clarify, I am not downloading the beta builds, so the version I received must be a production release.

    Cheers.

    Same here. Not a beta.

This is where the confusion started, when you corrected info that was not in error. MB could clear things up going forward if they would consider appending the letter B to a beta version number.

    Hello @Page42

I do accept full responsibility for the confusion I caused the membership and I apologize to all.

I wish that release notes had accompanied the release of 1.0.781 and others. Two published changes without some explanation in the same day didn't help. But, that does not relieve me of getting it right the first time - every time.

    I am truly sorry.

Not the kind of thing that requires such apologies, as I see it. More to the point or source of confusion would be the suggestion that MB append the letter B to a beta version number. What do you make of that suggestion? I mean, we're all here just trying to provide helpful information, that's a given. :)

    Hello @Page42
Yes! I try to take a neutral position. In the case of your suggestion, I support it. I wish the use of beta updates would be reflected in the GUI window's banner when detected.

I would like to see you receive credit for a good idea. Would you like to post the suggestion in the Malwarebytes forum?

    Suggestions: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/12-malwarebytes-for-windows/

    Thank you.

Hard to imagine something as simple as this has not already been suggested... numerous times. If you wish to post it on that thread, please do, Pete.

Anyone else experiencing backing up their iOS device with iTunes after one of these recent MBAM3 updates?

Edit: Also realized something with MBAM is the reason for 1Password no longer integrating with websites properly in Chromium based browsers, be it Chromium or Edge - Chromium based.

Not sure what has changed but sure seems to be preventing some significant access across the board.

    Hello @Page42

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer for you. It could have something to do with their lawyer's legal advice or the very old version of the acronym "NIH"...

If credit were to be given for your suggestion, I would need to know it went only to you. Some of Malwarebytes senior management do still read these posts.

I strongly urge you open your own topic within the Malwarebytes forum and communicate directly with their product teams. https://forums.malwarebytes.com

I don't get much downloaded on a daily basis (or even weekly for that matter) since upgrading to V4. MBAM notifies me that all is 'awesome' after every scan. I used to get at least a few MBs everyday. I assume with V4 it is less at the client end and more in the cloud now :doubt:.
    - Anyone else seeing less coming in on a daily basis before the scans start ?

Edit: Spoke too soon  Murphy I hate you.
Here I have been in a quandary for about 2 weeks on this and as soon as I post I get an 8MB download and today a 9 MB download. Why is it so easy to be the village idiot? :argh:
